    Hi everyone!

I come here as a last resource to solve this issue.
I’m using Auberge Theme and recently updated Jetpack plugin to modify my brand logo.
Since then I’m getting the Cheacting uh message anytime I try to get into Appearance > Customize.

I tried what people who think is a theme issue suggested in other threads:
Switched to twenty fifteen theme, disabled all plugins I even unistalled Jetpack, but I still cannot get that message to quit botering me.

Please help me understand what the reason for this could be. Any help would be much appreciated.

NOTE: I have WP version 4.2.2

  • Hi Tsurugirl,

What is WordPress Address (URL) and Site Address (URL) as found in General > Settings?

Are you an Administrator on the site?

Does the cheating message appear when you try it on other browsers?

    Thanks for the reply!

Yes I’m administrator for the site. Site Address is http://www.texticomfort.com , WP address goes without www.

Regarding the browser thing, I usually work with Firefox. I just tried out with Chrome on my phone and the message doesn’t show. However, it is kind of funny because yesterday I wasn’t having this issue, and I haven’t changed anything about the installation of my usual browser!

On the other hand, I was having a similar issue some weeks ago. Whenever I tried to customize the site (Appearance > Customize), the customizable items would appear on the left but in the right area only the login form would show and it wouldn’t let me sign in… it apparently authenticate correctly but then would reset, not letting me do any customization. Do you have any clue about what the issue could be?

Thanks in advance for any further help

It could be third-party cookies. Since you usually use Firefox, do you allow third-party cookies?

    Hi again!
I checked and indeed I was allowing third-party cookies always. However I cleaned them all and now the silly message doesn’t show…

Guess I can call it kind of solved now!
Thanks a lot for your help 🙂

You bet. Glad you’re back in business.
