Character translate/transform page

I am certain this is not the place for asking this question but I don’t know where else to post so help me or point me somewhere 🙂

Here’s what I need. I need to create a static webpage that has two text boxes: input and output. I want the characters in the input window to be transformed to another set of characters in the output window upon clicking on a button.

So for example if a=b and c=2 and I type in AC in the input box, I want the output box to read B2 after clicking on the button.
