Character Count Difference between posting types?

    Hello,

    I usually have the plugin posting automatically once the post is published. When this happens it seems the character count before the … “More” is MUCH less, than when I manually click “Share Now” on a post.

    Auto posting seems to be roughly 235 characters.

    Share now seems to be 1,485 characters (and there’s NO “…More” – it just cuts off mid word randomly before the “Learn More” button).

    *My auto posts are just set up with post title + post content.

    1. Can we adjust length of post by words or character with either auto / share now posting?

    2. Can we add the “…More” for share now posts?

    Hi @yesyeah,

    I don’t see any limitations in the code for this. The share now function uses the same code base as when a post is auto-published. Are you referring to the share now of a post or the share now on the plugin settings page.

    You said “Can we add the “…More” for share now posts?” we don’t declare ….More anywhere in the plugin code, this sounds like something you have created.

    You need to be more clear what the actual issue is.
