Chaning permalinks crashes site

Hi.

I tried to change the permalinks in my WordPress site. However, now the whole site serves blank pages. I’ve seen multiple posts that says to clear the content of the permalink option in the database: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/changed-permalinks-and-site-is-gone, but this doesn’t work for me. I still get blank pages.

Can anyone help me?

My WordPress site is running in Windows Azure.
