Changing the word Donate

    Hi there,

    for some reason my client would like to change the word donate and its variations to the word contribute. Is there an easy way to do this or it is possible on future versions to have this as an option in the plugging settings?

    Well there is a smart answer. But not the one I was looking for. With the amount of files in this plugging it’s not easy to determine what files should be changed. So I asked for an easy way, or in other words what files should I change or what folder contains the files.

    Hi Pieter,

    For changing the default text used in the plugin, I recommend the Loco Translate plugin. It’s a translation plugin, but one of the benefits is that you can change the default text used in plugins like Charitable into text you’d prefer. To change the text, install and activate the plugin, then go to create a translation for Charitable. You will need to choose your language from the dropdown list, and then you can search for the text you want to change.

    Easy, and no code to be edited 🙂
