• Hey guys, wazup ?

Let me explain everything first, my friend and I are developing a website and we need to use wordpress to give freedom for the people who works in the company change the content of the website.

We started to develop using a free host, we chose a template and we are changing it to become what they want, changing CSS, HTML, plugins, etc.

Now we need to change to the host the belongs to the company but we are having a lot of issues. We were following this steps and at the first time the links were redirecting to the free host, after we changed but the images is not working and we cannot login in the wordpress, when we log in the screen turn blank and we cannot do nothing.

My question is, there is a way to do that easily?

    Thanks

  • You need to go back through the steps in Moving_WordPress. You seem to have missed at least one step.

Only perform a search and replace on the wp_posts table.

Use the Search and Replace for WordPress Databases Script to safely change all instances. (If you are a developer, use this option. It is a one step process as opposed to the 15-step procedure below)

Optionally, you can also use an online tool (in case you don’t want to bother with uploading scripts to your server) Online WordPress Serialized PHP Search and Replace which allows for replacing an old domain or URL with a new one while fixing the serialized data at the same time.

Let me ask you something then, In the first step say to replace only in wp_posts table.. And after say to use a script for do that, but this script will change everything inside the database, no ?

But anyway, I will try everything again.. I’m since 8AM working on it and nothing.

Use the Search and Replace for WordPress Databases script
