Depends on the theme you are using. BTW, you really need to get WP updated – using an old version is a security risk!
yeah its just that there is a new version every 5 seconds and that does not actually help!
anyway I will with the next update.
but yeah the theme was academica and it still is but has been changed around a bit
If there are no options in the dashboard to change footer text then you will have to edit the footer.php file in your theme folder.
Check in Appearance>Widgets and see if there is a sidebar-9 widget area.
What do you want to change?
Okay, so this is the sub-forum for that theme – so the best place to post future theme questions:

I’m not familiar with the theme but it looks like, yes, you would need to modify theme files – in which case you should start by creating a child theme so that your changes are not lost when the theme is updated.

But did you use the same theme on WP.COM – because the two versions aren’t usually the same.
Hello
I have the footer coming up in
-widgets
–side bars
—footer
—-text
This is the left hand side of the footer and the text I added comes up. So I can change it fine.
There is however a right hand side of the footer (when looking at my website front page) as well which is not in this same place, and I can not find it.
It is this right hand side I need to find so I can change it.
Anyone knows how please?
Many thanks
Andrea
No way to help without seeing the site AND you should start a new thread in the sub-forum for your theme.
yeah, have noticed and have done that thanks
