changing footer design

Hi all,

I would like to change the aesthetics of my footer as well as the alignment. I would like a 33% alignment for each widget so it spreads across the whole page. I would also like to create boxes around each individual widget.Below is a link of how i wish the footer to eventually look. I would like it to look like the boxes with the white background so dont worry about the first box.

I’ve only had CSS experience within the last week of creating this site so please be as simple as you can. i’m very new as this:)
