Changing Font (type, colour and size)

Hello,

I am trying to change the Font type, colour and size of my blog. However, it does not work for all the blog text. Even though I try several colours and types of fonts, nothing changes – except for the Paragraphs. I am using the Default Typography menu and I want to be able to customise the text everywhere in the page.

I bought a premium theme called Writing. It is supposed to be a very simple theme to customise and I am sure it is but this little detail is wasting me a ton of time.

I am using the Google Fonts plug in.

Any suggestions?

I would really appreciate some help.
