Changing file permisions

Hi,

I am able to edit single files easily to allow me to edit the contents of a single page. Is there a quick / easy way to change the permisions on all files so that only I can edit them. Bearing in mind, I would like the public to view them but not be able to write to or execute. I am using filezilla if this helps.
