changing directory listing to categories

    Cureently experimenting with this plugin. as i create entries they are being listed by company name. However i want the search index to show category listing not the company name. I have looked all over but i can not find where i can change this setting.

    I am not quite sure what you are asking… Are you asking if you can show a list of categories instead of the directory entries?

    yes a list of categories that may have multiple directory entries , for example i want to search say plumbers, rather than abc plumbing company. Thanks

    You have a couple of options.

    The first option, you could build the list yourself. Navigate to the Connections Categories admin page; when you mouse over a category, a “View” link will be displayed. You can copy-paste this link to make a list of category links on a page.

    The other option is the Enhanced Categories addon. It has a shortcode that you can use to embed a category list on a page. Here’s the link to the addon and a link to the shortcode documentation.
