You are not able to rename them with the rename option?
Hi Alan i try and rename folder no joy. I try to delete no joy and add no joy its like its stuck. I am no expert by the way.

Do you know if your site is running on a Windows server or Apache server?
It is not possible with MLP to delete a folder if it contains files. Sometimes these files do not show up in the folder’s contents and that is why we added the Sync function so that if any files were present then by clicking the Sync button they would be added to the folder. Then you could remove them and delete the folder.
If the sync function does not work you can try removing the folders manually in your site’s control panel, and then go to MLP and delete the folders (this will remove them from the sites database).

I am on Bluehost not sure what kind of server it is. I can log into cpanel etc. I have tried to sync an empty folder and then delete it no joy i am afraid.

Ok, bluehost may only be using Apache. I suggest you try deleting the folders from the control panel]s file manager and then in MLP.

The place where the files for the Media Library are stored is usually wp-contents/uploads/
found them can i go and change the names in there ?

No, what you see in MLP is what is stored in the database. It works the same ways as the images in the Media Library. The files and folders on your server need to correlate with what is stored in the database. I suggest you delete the folder on the server and then detete them in MLP and try adding then again. But if you did add folders through your control panel, then they could be added them to MLP by clicking the Sync button from the parent folder (the folder where you added the new folders).
Alan i so grateful for your help but that all went straight over my head. So i delete MLP folder in wp-contents/uploads/?

Please only delete the folders that you created not the Uploads folder or any other folders.
so the folders which i created and the ones i need to change e.g.

I also have FTP access which seems to be easier to delete folders.

So when i go into the folders on FTP i can see that the folders do have files in there and thats why they cant be deleted i presume. As i mentioned its the capital letter at the front i want to change.
