• I currently have the default post type and a custom post type. The main post type I list all my products on (as its a product base website) are within the custom post type. I now notice that search engines and plugins are only showing keywords from the default post type.

So my question is how to I convert the custom post type to make it the default one?

NOTE: I have over 20,000 post in custom post type so there has to be an easy way to do this without individually converting each posts (as I see some plugins only do this).

Use the plugins relevanssi or “search everything” to make the CPTs show up on your internal search and make sure that the post types are included in your site’s sitemap. This is an option you need to set if you use a plugin like Yoast SEO.

Thanks Steve, let me try this out. And yes I use SEO plugin.

Also I use a SEO analyzing tool (third party website, not a plugin. The site is called Semalt.com). Currently it’s only showing my keywords from the default WordPress posts, nothing from the 20,000 posts I have within the custom post type.
