Changes to Global Settings CSS not Publishing

Hello!

I am encountering a problem (since we upgraded to WordPress version 4.7.5) in which changes to the Global CSS are not published if they are saved.
So, one of two things happen after making a style change in Global CSS:
1) I immediately click on ‘Save’, but the loader runs forever until I have to close the window or refresh the page.
2) If after clicking ‘Save’ it does save it, I then click on ‘Publish’, but once the page reloads, none of the CSS changes I made are reflected on the site. If I click back to PageBuilder my changes are there, but nothing gets published even if I try to republish. (This is happens across multiple sites with different themes)

There are a couple of errors in the Console worth mentioning:
1) GET http://demo.comfortstayinndowntown.com/wp-content/uploads/bb-plugin/cache/156-layout-draft.js?ver=80a4c2d7678a971c3b212bd047440555 404 (Not Found) which loads immediately upon Page Builder uploading
2) GET http://demo.comfortstayinndowntown.com/wp-content/uploads/bb-plugin/cache/156-layout-draft.css?ver=cbf7c6fcf78917404ebdec89fe56e8a8

Also, to further complicate matters, I get one specific error if I choose to make changes on Tools -> Layout CSS/JS (not Global) -> CSS after I click ‘Save’:

I deactivated every plugin, one at time, and reactivated them, but the error persists.
We also attempted to clear the cache in Page Builder, check permissions on the bb-plugin/cache directory, but we can’t get Global CSS changes to show up.

Any help would be appreciated.
