Changed style.css for Enigma Pro

Here’s what happened –

I compact the style.css and saved changes. The site then went misconfigured so I re-entered the style.css from the initial style.css but the site stays the same ugly way. How can I get this back to normal with not needed to having to start over from scratch. Because I don’t think I don’t need to. Any help please.
