• …and now I get this error:

    “Error establishing a database connection
This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can’t contact the database server at localhost. This could mean your host’s database server is down.
    [etc]”

I’m not sure how to change it back – using wp-config (which I’ve tried and doesnt work) or in cPanel of my host (incl phpmyadmin??).

Sorry for the newbie questions. I feel pretty daft.

  • I see the ‘Hello World’ post, and an otherwise normal, new blog at http://philipus.com/ – or are you meaning somewhere else ?

Thank you very much for responding.

Well my problem is, and I realise I should have been clearer, when I go to philipus.com/wp-admin. That’s when I get the error message.

But now, trying again, I suddenly got in. Weeeeird.

Sounds like your DB server might have gone down temporarily. It happens to the best of us. 🙂
