I love your WordPress theme. I am very new to website production and WordPress and changed something in the customiser.php file then lost access to my site screen went blank. I tried to restore the file as it was to no avail either.

Does it have a security feature in the customiser.php to prevent you making changes? If so, can I restore it and not make changes again. Sorry!

There is no security feature, but the customizer is coded in php, so if you make an error, you either get a php parse error or the white screen of death.

You should be able to fix it by just re-uploading the cusomizer.php file via FTP.

If you don’t have it, you can just re-download the theme from the theme depository to your desktop. Then unzip it and navigate to the customizer.php file in the “/lib” folder. Just upload it to the same folder on your site to override the one you changed.

If you’re not sure how to use ftp software, you can always just deactivate and then delete the theme, and then just reinstall it from the dashboard.

Also, make sure you check out the videos at chirothemes.com. They will show you how to use the sidebars and contact forms properly.

Thank you so much for your advice. It turns out it was an errant apostrophe that had crept in. I am very much a “learner” in this field.

Also, is there a way you can change the leading between the lines in the text?

Not from the customizer, but you could do it with a child theme.
