Change the search string

I would like to change the default text that appears in the search box (where it currently says “to search type and hit enter”).

I searched in the theme found that statement in searchform.php as well as in several of the language translation files. I’ve changed this to my preferred text in those places in my child theme (moved searchform.php over), and when that didn’t work, I resorted to changing it in the original hueman searchform.php file. I’ve cleared the cache. Where else can I change this (preferably in my child theme)?
