• ExifTool shows I have these in my EXIF:

    GPS Position : 56 deg 43′ 40.73″ N, 3 deg 46′ 33.22″ W
GPS Altitude : 141.3 m Above Sea Level
    GPS Img Direction : 309.31

I’d like to be able to include these in the EXIF generated without using the Google Maps API – that costs money, at least once the freebie has expired.

@swoolrich As long as you don’t enable the option to show a map, you don’t need the Google API key. You can show the coordinates already.

The plugin doesn’t currently include altitude and direction. If you send me a link to an image that has these details I’ll look into adding them.

Thanks for the quick reply. I’ll double-check the Location, and send you an appropriate link.

OK this should have the additional fields. I should also have mentioned I’d like to be able to change the order the meta-data appears in.

And another field…. Lens. I’ll upload a photo containing it if necessary.

You can do this by dragging and dropping the order of the fields on the settings page.

No need to add an image for this, I have multiple lenses to test. This one is more difficult because it’s not always stored as plain text, sometimes it uses a manufacturer ID, which means I need to include a database of IDs to reference. It’s on my list to do.

Wouldn’t it be good if I’d noticed the instructions in the plugin settings screen?

“Set these to create default display options. In the absence of any other settings, these will be used when EXIF is displayed. You can override these within an individual post, shortcode, or function. Drag and drop to reorder the fields.”

I look forwards to the Lens being available.

Very much like the location coming up as a link.
