Solved. I needed to add a new translation file in “wp-content\themes\edin\languages”.

If you want to make sure your language file doesn’t get overwritten when you next update the theme, you could also look at installing the language files in a child theme instead. I’ve provided instructions on how to do that in the second half of this post:

Goran is a child theme of Edin, and you can not do a child theme for a child theme. 🙁
That’s true, reima000, good point. You could try the grandchild theme route instead:

It’s not officially supported but it’s a workaround.
Can you please explain in details how to change this “read more” text to Polish, ie. what to put in the po/mo files? Thanks !

The naming format for Polish language files is
po_PL.po / po_PL.mo
