Change color scrollbar | WordPress.org

Hi,

I am using the Responsive Tables Extension with ‘scroll’ mode.

1. How can I change the color of the scroll bar?
2. I believe Safari, Chrome and even Firefox on MacOs (and iOs) only show scrollbars when actually scrolling. Is it possible to always display the scrollbar?

Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

1. Unfortunately, that’s not directly possible, as the scroll bar is so heavily influenced by the browser. From what I know, there is a CSS property that might allow this in the future, but so far it only has limited support in Firefox, but not in other browsers. See https://css-tricks.com/almanac/properties/s/scrollbar-color/
Now, there’s a second approach as well, see https://www.w3schools.com/howto/howto_css_custom_scrollbar.asp, but I don’t have experience with it.

2. Unfortunately, I’m not aware of a possibility for that, sorry.

Regards,
Tobias
