Certain characters in WordPress not displaying correctly

    In WordPress if I type Hungarian characters like őöüóűú as part of my post, when I publish the post it doesn’t display correctly – instead it displays the following characters:- ??????

    my guessing is the theme. My charset setting in wordpress admin> reading is UTF-8 so I don’t see the problem. Any help is appreciated
