    Hi,

I am wanting to have my menu centred above the page content. The theme does this automatically but if the page has a side bar, the menu is centred to the combined width of the page plus the sidebar. I would like it centred just to the page content.

So far, I have achieved this by turning off the header element and then adding a shortcode version of the Mega Menu. I have used css to remove the original menu from the frontpage. I cant turn off the original menu from the blog posts page. I can add the shortcode version to the blog posts page.

I hope that makes sense. I just need to know how to turn off the original Mega Menu from the blog posts page

  • Hello @tradeshark2

Thanks for reaching out to us.

To debug the concern further and provide you with a better solution, can you please share the related page/site URL with us so that we can check?

Also, are you using the Astra Mega menu or third-party integration?

    Hi,

Thanks for the reply. The page affected is https://blog.tradesharktennis.com/blog-posts

I am using the Max Mega Mega Menus plugin. I didn’t realise there was an Astra one. perhaps I’d be better using that one?

    Hello @tradeshark2

Thanks for writing back to us.

Well, Astra’s native Mega Menu is an Astra Pro feature and is not available with the Astra Free theme.

However, to disable the header/menus, please have a look at this reference screencast.

Thanks but I followed the steps and it didn’t change anything. I had used that method to remove the menu from other pages.

    Hello @tradeshark2

Thank you for writing back to us.

In that case, can you please follow the helpful documentation below?

    Remove Astra Header

    Disable Astra Header

If the problem still exists, then can you please share a screencast about how you’re configuring the referred page or how to reproduce the issue, and what is appearing on your end so that we can try to reproduce the same on our test server?

I appreciate the help. I tried both those options in the child functions.php and the menu remains.

    It just won’t die 😉

I will just leave it as it is. It only affects the posts page and the menu does show. Just not as I would prefer.

    Hi @tradeshark2

Thank you for writing back to us.

Such behaviour shouldn’t occur if you have followed the documentation we shared previously.

In that case, if possible, please share a screencast of how you’re configuring the menu on the post pages so we can try to reproduce it on our end.

Alternatively, you may use custom CSS code as a quick solution.

    With Regards
    Humayon
