hey guys, I’m a total noob to wordpress. I’m wondering, if it’s possible to edit a cell in tablepress, that would be able to take input by the frontend user, just a string or a set of chars. There wouldn’t be need, to submit this string/chars to somewhere; I just want to click on the cell, I can type my name or sth. and by pressing enter the string/chars would still be visible by the frontend. I hope I made clear, what the issue is 🙂

    Hi,

thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.

No, sorry, such frontend editing is not directly possible with TablePress.
For this, you will need a custom solution.

    Regards,
    Tobias

thank you very much, for your fast reply.
but wouldn’t that somehow be possible with your “PHP in tables Extension 1.0”?

    Hi Julian,

I don’t think so. Of course, that PHP code could be used to somehow generate input fields, but you would still need customizations to save the data.

    Regards,
    Tobias
