It should be…only one way to find out, install it and see. Starting with my next theme I am currently in development, I will be adding full support (with custom styling) for Buddy Press and bbPress.
One note about trying it out…you may want to setup a test site first if you already have a live site going with Celestial Lite.

I am working for a Christian Social Network and therefor we want to use the BuddyPress module and plugins to achieve our goals and they really like this theme.
