CCSS clarification

    Hi,

    I was reading this article https://www.quic.cloud/ccss-and-ucss-a-handy-guide/ and I have few questions about CCSS (Critical CSS)

    1. How do I know if CCSS was generated for the page? What do I look for in HTML? For UCSS and cache, LiteSpeed leaves a comment at the bottom, not for CCSS
    2. In the article it says “The cron picks up the CCSS and saves it to be inserted into the HTML of all pages that have that post type next time those pages are cached”. Does it mean, I have to periodically clear LSCache so that CCSS changes are being picked up when page is cached?

    1. You can check the page source/HTML in the same way you check for UCSS. When CCSS has been generated and loaded, LiteSpeed adds a comment similar to:

    <!-- QUIC.cloud CCSS loaded ✅ /ccss/filename.css -->

    This confirms that the CCSS has been generated and is being loaded on the page.

    1. No, you do not need to periodically clear LSCache manually. Once CCSS/UCSS is generated, the plugin automatically purges the related page/cache so that the newly generated CSS can be picked up the next time the page is cached. You should then see the corresponding CCSS/UCSS comment in the page HTML.

    I did check my other sites and, yes, I do see the comment. All good!
