    Hi,

Yes, please check if you are not running two versions of the plugin at the same time. That usually causes this error.

How can I check for two versions without deleting and re-installing? I worked hard to get the buttons PERFECT. (And while they worked, the plugin was 5-star and did exactly what I needed.) Is there a way to check without starting over?

You can check this in the plugins section of WordPress. There should be only one version of Maxbuttons activate there.

Oh no, there’s just one version listed, and it’s the latest version. It’s deactivated at the moment because WP won’t let me activate it – says it can’t because it caused a fatal error, giving the specifics as above.

Usually there is a line after something like ‘scss already declared in xxxxxx’ , could you check if you can see that and post it here? In a very unlikely event, the plugin is conflicting with another.
