Category question? not shown

Hi there,

I have been searching for a while now, but haven’t found a clear answer.

What I am trying to achieve is the following:

I want to create a hidden category which allows me to categories posts, but this category name is not shown to the user. This will allow me to group posts for display purposes, but not confuse the user.

i.e. Category called -> my slider 1.

Then my slider picks up posts from this category, but the user does not see the My slider 1, in the categories for these posts.

Any ideas how I can do this ?
