Categories not getting deleted?

HI,
When i click “Delete” under category name, the category block turns red and stays like that forever:
https://screencast.com/t/IrK7coHBw0N0Also, if i try to delete multiple categories by selecting the checkbox beside category name and by going to bulk actions and try delete, then the whole page goes blank:
