Hello. The problem is that when i click on any of the categories all the posts remain to stay at the front page, nothing changes.
    Running 2.9.2

Hope to see any advices. Thank you.

when u make a new post do u select the correct Catagory for each new posts ???

That’s interesting. The links appear to be correct. Have you tried updating your permalink structure?

Yay! Many thanks, it’s working now!

    :claps:

I am having this same problem. Just upgraded to 3.1. Not sure if the upgrade was the problem or not, as I have not checked the links in some time. However, when I click on the links to the articles themselves, and then click on the category on THAT page, this action also takes me back to the home page.
Inserting a tag instead of category seems to solve this issue, however, I don’t want a menu of my tags. Changed my permalink structure using the first radio button and that seemed to work, however, i am trying to use a pretty permalink structure and using the post number is not very SEO friendly. Whenever I use any of the other radio buttons, since my navigation menu is listed by category, it just returns me to the front page, no matter what I do, or how I try I can’t get my navigation to work using category. I have category pages set up in my template. If anyone can help me with this, I sure would appreciate it. My website is http://www.outdoorcentral.com.

    Have you tried:

    – working through the solutions suggested in Troubleshooting WordPress 3.1 – Master List

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

thanks, this helped, it was simple-tags that was breaking my permalink structure.
