    Hi,

Is there any chance the newest version of WordPress will include case-insensitive permalinks. I found a plugin that claims to fix it (unfocus-insensitivity) but it does not work for 2.9.2.

    Thanks

  • This is probably more closely related to the OS that WordPress is installed on, rather than WordPress itself. For example, in Windows, C:\Program Files is the same as C:\PROGRAM FILES or c:\program files. But on Unix-based systems (Mac OS X and Linux), /Applications is not the same as /applications or /APPLICATIONS.

(Someone correct me if I’m wrong on this)

I totally agree with you on the OS issue but my wordpress is installed on CentoS making it case sensitive.
Apache does however have an option to ignore Case enabling Checkspelling in the httpd.conf.
This works perfectly when permalinks are not enabled.
If however I enable them, the URL’s are no longer case insensitive.
I therefore believe is is a wordpress ‘problem’.
