The picture captions on my site are brown (preferred) on IE and are black on Firefox.

Is there a way to make them consistent?

Browser inconsistencies are often caused by mark-up and/or css validation errors, so probably clearing those up will address the color problem:

Well, correcting those issues created much larger problems that I am far too unskilled to understand/solve. So, I put it all back the way it was. Lesser of two evils.
