I have a local video and a .vtt file for captions, checked with WebVTT Validator. I generate the shortcode for this like
[ableplayer media-id=”32671″ descriptions=”32680|Audio Description”]
and in the frontend I see the video running in the player. I see the captions area below, but it remains empty.

The descriptionsparameter adds audio descriptions. To add captions, you’d want to to use captions parameter.

Are you able to share a URL? I’d like to see what’s rendering actually, so I can identify what might be going on. I can’t reproduce locally.
