Capitalized Slugs ?

Hi everyone,

I was using Simple Tagging plugin before upgrading to WP2.3, after importing all tags to new tagging system, I notice all slugs are now in lowercase & underscore is replaced by hyphen (2.3 apparently doesn’t like “dot” in slugs neither).
I am just wondering is there a way to work around this, lowercase slugs is alright since uppercase will yield the same content, but telling gooogle to switch from underscore to hyphen is a headache.
