Capabilities or PublishPress Permsissions

    Hi,

    What is the difference between the Publish Press capabilities and permissions plugins? I think they both manage permissions for different user types/groups so I’m not sure which one I should be using or why there are two so similar.

    Hi @tashword ,

    You are right, they both manage the permissions, but on different levels.

    For PublishPress Capabilities, this manages the permissions in more general level, such as post type and user role. However, for PublishPress Permissions, it can go further to a more specific level, such as a custom group, a specific post/article, and per user account.

    So, by using PublishPress Permissions, users with the same role can have different permissions.
