Can’t view embedded video

I’m prety certain this is a permissions issue. A while back i chmodded everything to 644 and then set folders to 755. WordPress or my host didn’t like that very much because some things wouldn’t work properly.

I eventaully fixed it but now i am having a problem with using embed codes from video sites. They will not display at all, there will just be a blank white space there. I tried installing a video mod after, still, same problem. I noticed that on that video mod, there is a button that is supposed to drop down some text but it doesn’t work, another sign of bad permissions?

I’m lost.. Please help.
