can’t use widgets when moving hosts

    We have a customer site that we’ve hosted for about 4.5 years now. Their theme was a child theme built on the wootheme’s canvas theme. They have asked us to move their site to godaddy which I’ve been working on for a few hours. I eventually got most things working however I’ve run into a very strange behavior with widgets and can’t figure out the issue. I’m certain it’s related to the canvas theme as everything works fine when I switch to another theme. However we no longer have a woothemes subscription so I can’t get support there. I’m hopeful someone might have an idea where I can look.

    When I try to add a Custom HTML widget to a widget area the Title and Content fields disappear leaving the Delete, Close and Save links. If I use a Text widget, as soon as I hit save, the content clears out of the widget. If I reload the page, the Text widget no longer is in the widget area where I put it. Here’s a screen grab illustrating the problem.

    Hi,
    Can you check your server error logs. It should be available as error_log under public_html if you’re using cPanel.

    Also look for errors in the browser console.
