Can't upload images

    Hello all,

    Whenever I try to upload an image via the WordPress UI (e.g. a new logo image), I get the following error message:

    Error: Unable to create directory wp-content/uploads/2013/03. Is its parent directory writable by the server?

    As far as I know, every directory on the server is ‘writable’. I can create text blogs no problem. I have tried creating the 2013/03 folder directly on my FTP, and I’ve even dropped the images I want to use in various locations (e.g. the Images folder), but so far no dice. The UI doesn’t ‘see’ the images as part of my image gallery. What can I do?
