• I’m new at WordPress. I’ve got it installed on my website in the root directory. When I try to upload a file I get this message:

Unable to create directory /home/dolll4/public_html/wp-content/uploads/2006/03. Is its parent directory writable by the server?

Any idea what this means? Thanks for any info.

  • It means you have to change the permissions on the “parent” = wp-content directory: chmod 777 via FTP.
