You may need to remove that plugin, then look at the permissions on your wp-content directory. Try setting it to 755 first and if that doesn’t work, try 777…set permissions recursively.
Sorry for my post, the link somehow got into text.
This is the plugin I used:
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-security-scan/
My WP Content right now has 755.
But I have a question. I am using Filezilla and it has an option (unchecked right now) that says:
Recurse into subdirectories
And if I check it , it gives 3 more options.
Apply to all files and directories
Apply to files only
Apply to directories only
Now, which of these options should I use?
Thank you
Apply to directories only.
Ok, thanks. One more question.
If directories must be 755, what should the plugins files be?
I’m actually having the same problem. Someone help? Its basically everything that doesn’t auto-upgrade anymore… I have to do it manually and I’m not enjoying that at all. 🙁 Anybody know whats up? It keeps saying that it “could not copy file” and before, things were just fine. Help! I’ll post this in a new thread as well.
