I just tried, liking works fine.
I don’t see any share option – did you select that on the plugin’s settings page?
It should work now.
Normally when you click a social media button, an action should start:
* A pop-up for sharing your posting on Twitter, Facebook, G+ or whatever.
At least I’m used to this.
But here, it works different. You click the social media button next you get a kind of menu and later you select what you want.
I didn’t notice immediately it worked like a menu, because it contained just one item. I had the feeling that the menu-item was more like a kind of tooltip.
Later I clicked several times on the ‘big’ button, but nothing happened, just showing the ‘tooltip’. 🙂
I added two ‘actions’ for each button and since you have now 2 menu-items it’s more clear that it works like a kind of menu.
Maybe it’s an idea to provide this as an option:
if you have only 1 action connected with your button then it should start the action, without you have to hit the tooltip ‘menu-item’.
Yes, if you give it only a “visit me”-functionality (and no others) no tooltip will be displayed.
If you only give it a share-functionality then we still need to show the tooltip because we need to show the share-button which is coming from facebook and it has a different design. However, we managed to find a workaround in this plugin: https://www.ultimatelysocial.com/usm-premium/. There, if you only give it a share-functionality, no tooltip will be displayed, so people can share directly after click on the icon.
Ok, then I’ll jump on the premium program later.
I guess I have to do it anyway, because it’s not translating well now and the format isn’t like I want.
