    Hi
This problem suddenly arose: when I try to connect to my site, I get this error:

We were able to connect to the database server (which means your username and password is okay) but not able to select the aslak_wrdp1 database.
    Are you sure it exists?
On some systems the name of your database is prefixed with your username, so it would be like username_wordpress. Could that be the problem?

It’s just when I try to connect to my root folder (bloggenmin.com). If I add www (www.bloggenmin.com), it starts up like before.

Guess I could have messed something up with the databases i my NetAdmin, I’m just a newbie on these things. But I can still reach the single posts, so I guess it’s all there. Anyone who knows what the problem might be?

  • If it was working and you touched nothing, give the host 10 minutes then email them. They could be doing some database stuff.

Well, I was touching somethin 😉 I denied access to the database for my user (by a mistake), and then I granted access again right after it, but I still have this problem. Everything seems right in my NetAdmin, and, as I said, when I type www it works perfectly well. Strange. Could I have messed up any settings?

What are the two URI values in Options > General?
Are they with or without www ?
(in the database you can check them in the option table: site_url and home rows)

Well, today it’s working fine. Guess it needed a bit longer than expected to update. Thanks anyway for your time.
