I have just set up WordPress (latest download) on my server at home. When connecting through the web browser on the server (localhost) I see the theme correctly, yet any other computer just sees text. you can see this here…http://devoid.ohflip.com/blog – I suspect this may a file permissions problem but I do not know which files (if, of course, this is the problem!!)

thanks in advance for any help

The problem is that one or more of your URLs in Options/General is set to “localhost”, so your blog is looking for the theme files in “localhost”. Of course, my localhost is not the same as yours, as the files are on your computer, not mine. Try setting both of the URL values in Options/General to http://devoid.ohflip.com/blog

many thanks. I will try this when I get home from work…might this also explain why I get the error ‘Firefox can’t establish a connection to the server at localhost.’ when I try to login from anywhere but localhost?
