Can’t see how threaded comments work

    I’ve been using arclite as my theme for quite some time, and have never been able to get threaded comments to work. To be specific, there doesn’t seem to be an option to “reply” to an existing comment in the UI.

    If I go in through the admin panel, and reply to a comment there, it displays properly, but if a visitor came along, they wouldn’t be able to generate a child comment.

    What am I missing?

    It’s usually in Admin/Settings/Discussions settings/Other comment settings/enable Threated comments

    Thanks; I should have mentioned that it is enabled there, so there must be something else I’m missing.

    Can anyone tell me how threaded comments are supposed to work? Should visitors to the site be able to reply to a particular comment? Or is that functionality only supposed to be available through the admin ui?
