    Hi

I have an issue when I need to configure a list I can’t see all available columns, even if I collapse admin menu.

With Admin menus not minimized I can see columns for Sort Order and if I collapse I still need to tab to get the last columns settings “After”.

Can you check this and see if you can fix so all admin pages can be optimized, ie we should not need to tab to get all columns field visible.

Your request is noted and added to the list, but low priority.
Note that whether one needs to scroll sideways depends very much on one’s own screen size and resolution. I work on a laptop with second screen (neither of them very large) and don’t need to scroll on either. Since this is back end admin stuff I kinda expect people using it have reasonable sized devices.

I disagree that one should ‘not need to scroll sideways’ – It is a tradeoff between:

    • doing as much as possible on one screen or
    • having to page between multiple screens, or
    • having to scroll downwards.

Indeed, on the front end, a sideways scrolling site is sometimes a design choice (not that I like those really!)

Actually, you have a point, making it simpler per page, even if it means more pages, may reduce support.
Moving the request up the list 😉

Thxs, and fyi no scroll in sideways are available so I need to tab through the page to reach the 2 last settings. I asssume you have set the width to be x% or xpt or overflow as hidden in css. I have never seen any other plugins admin pages having a sideways scrolling.

Also a small remark: In your pot file you have named ID as No. which in swedish should be translated to be Nr and not Nej which actually means no (the oposite to yes) in english.

    Hi Per,

I don’t think there’s any strange css – I usually try keep extra css to the minimum – it’s basically an html table with wp class “widefat”

    What browsers are you using?
In firefox, chrome and IE on windows 10 I have scrollbars showing – perhaps some other css is interfering on your system?

Re: translations, It might have my name as the ‘last translator’ but I think that’s just the plugin that I used to use to rescan. I don’t actually do any of the translations (certainly my swedish is not that good!). WordPress is moving translations to central control. See
    https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp-plugins/amr-users
It seems someone is busy on the swedish. The other stats don’t quite make sense, since I know some of the languages had quite a bit already transalated.
I had understood that apparently if the central was not 100% translated, it would drop back to the local files provided with the plugin.
Certainly you can either do your own translation, or contribute to the central ones.

If anyone sends me an updated language file, I try to include it in the next update.

    Hi

Normally I use Chrome version Version 48.0.2564.116 m. I have also tested all other browsers with latest version and same issue there. My laptop held 1366×768 as screen resolution so that is not the issue.

Anyway if you give me your mail address I can send you some screens where you can see how its looks like in admin. Its not a big problem as we don’t use these so often.

No, no point sending screenshots – I believe you and it wouldn’t help to figure out why.
Just from a curiousity point of view, if you wanted to see why they not showing, maybe do a browser ‘inspect element’ and look at the css that is getting applied to the table and then seeing where that came from. Maybe something is trying to hide horizontal scrollbars?
(or temporarily deactivate all other plugins 😉 )

Yeah you are correct its an other plugin which use div.wrap as overflow hidden. I will address this to the author of the plugin asap.

    Thxs for the hint.
