Is it a requirement to be logged in for commenting?
i thought links weren’t allowed, sorry. I don’t know, I just logged in (on admin account). i’ll post the links.
http://www.croatiankid.com/blog/ is the blog, and after i press “submit query”, it brings me to http://www.croatiankid.com/blog/wp-comments-post.php which is a blank page. step by step from start:
- I click “Comments (1)”
- I type something under “Leave a comment”
- click submit query
- brings to blank page, comment not saved

I just logged out, and tried the same thing (it seems I don’t have to be logged in, just type name and email) and it brings me to the same blank page.
OK, let’s try to switch to another theme, for example deafult or classic.
Does the comments work in that case?
nope, same story. i REALLY hope this isn’t theme related, because i bought a template monster wordpress theme, and it works, just that even on that theme the same story happens with the comments. if you run out of idea’s, i’ll contact my hosting tech support (it’s excellent), although i don’t know if they can do anything about it if it’s an installation problem.
it’s quite possible it’s true, i know for a fact that my norton internet security blocks me from sending http referrers (w3c validating where the link ends with “refferer”, i get a refferer error). i’ll try the guy’s hack, and post the results
Actually, I don’t have that Norton product and it still doesn’t let me to comment. I’ve tried with both themes.
that topic is from a VERY old version of wp, and the file in question looks very different. nevertheless i edited it, and it didn’t work (got a syntax error), so i changed it back to the original. ugh.
it’s apparently not random, i just installed it in another directory, same story. i don’t think my hosting support will be able to help me with this.
I can’t use the fix “copy the contents from comments.php of the default theme to comments.php to current theme” because this problem appears on the default theme.
Unrelated question: does wp automatically add meta keywords/descriptions, and if not, where can i add them?

i see you’ve made several posts in the last 50 minutes. i just ask that if you give up on my problem, please tell me so that i can seek help somewhere else (i don’t know where though)

2. It’s not about “giving up” – I don’t have a solution for the moment. Hopefully others will jump on and some more knowledgeable good soul will help you. (BTW, nobody has any obligation to answer all your questions – we are all volunteers, sometimes having a real life, too)
I found the problem, it’s in my .htaccess file. i used a code so that when you typed croatiankid.com it automatically forwarded you to http://www.croatiankid.com. i disabled it, and now the blog works. i was wondering if this is a known problem, and is there a work-around?
