I can login into my webiste using Firefox, but not IE.
I tried to delete the coockies, went throught eh tutrial that exaplains how to change the password through mySQL and done it, and even tried to upload all of the files… but I still can’t log in.
What happens is that in the login page I type the user name (which even, none of them work), and the password. When I submit, the pages refresh back and the text boxes are blank. Nothing happens. Help?

I believe my cookies are on… IE stores my password and user names on many websites. Is there a way to check it?

Ok, I *can* loging if I use the real URL and not the site’s main url (that is, http://www.cheezcake.net is my ‘offical’ address, and I can’t log in using it. the real url – http://www.web……… /~username works fine.) Why is that, and how do I fix it?
Another issue I have now as that when I log in, I can’t save / update files using wordpress, even though I have CHMOD 666 on all files – I checked and done it twice.
    Help, anyone?

Well you will find you can ftp your files regardless of the chmod error message.

If your files are at 666, and you cannot alter them, then you are trying to alter the wrong files – that is the editor is looking in one place, and you think it’s looking in another.

I changed ALL of the files to 666… but it doesn’t work. And I can FTP my files, but I can’t update them from the program itself.

In that case the template editor is looking at one set of files, and you are looking at another.
    You can either:
    – just use ftp and another editor to alter the files.
    Or
    – using ftp, find an altered file (put a big comment in index.php for instance) by downloading any that have the same name, then changing the file paths in templates.php
Did you follow all of this ?

I looked at what you pointed at, but it doesn’t seem to be relavent.. I have my blog and everything in the same directory, the main one. I don’t have wordpress install in a different directory… files in the /we-admin folder, including the templates.php are 666.
I am not sure what the editor is looking for, but whatever it is it has a 666 permission and the files I downlad, edit, and then re-upload are on the main directory.
