can’t login

    Hi, I can’t login to my blog. when I try to login, it does nothing=–no error message, nothing. Even though i didn’t forget my password, I tried to retrieve/reset, and that also won’t do anything once I try to enter my email address

    A few hours ago, I tried to install a plugin (related to feature posts that I found browsing through the plugin page inside my blog). I”m assuming that the problem might be related to that.

    any ideas?

    I don’t know how to remove the plugin without getting into the blog

    Mjmitche, do you have FTP access to your server files ?

    If you have, then the simplest solution is to deactivate your new plugin (probably the culprit element) by FTP, by renaming the folder containing the plugin, or, if it’s just a file and not a folder, by renaming the plugin’s php file.
    The location will be (blog root)/wp-content/plugins

    Rename it to anything else, or just add an underscore in the end for instance, as long as the name has changed, wordpress automatically deactivates the plugin the next time you or someone else loads your blog.

    Hi Sabinou,
    I renamed the file and I also deleted the files for the new plugin. Neither of those worked–still can’t login

    o.k., now I can get in after I reloaded the login page…thanks sabinou
