Can’t Log In Anymore!

    i was on a different computer, which i sometimes post entries from, and after i erased all of the cookes [spyware problems] it won’t let me log onto WP anymore! i wasn’t too worried because i figured i could still log on from my main computer, but it won’t let me log on there either!!

    every time i try it says: Your session has expired.

    i clicked the lost password thing but the e-mail it sent me doesn’t work, it says:

    does anyone know what i can do to fix this?? i tried clearing cookies and cache but that didn’t help. 🙁 thanks!

    Do you by any chance have a firewall blocking your sessions or cookies or something?

    I faced this same problem and when I disabled the firewall, it worked fine.

    i checked that too, but i haven’t changed any settings on any computers, except for deleting the cookies and cache on the computer that i was on first.

    I encountered this problem with a blog I was helping someone with. At one point we were both logged in with her admin info, and at that point both of us got the error you mention.

    I fixed the problem attempting to log in as “admin” then clicking on the lost password option. WP sent a new password to the “real” admin, the lady I was helping.

    If that doesn’t work in your case, you might try accessing the database itself and adding a new user with a new password.

    i tried the lost password thing, i pasted the e-mail in the first post.. for some reason the new password didn’t show up 🙁

    how would i go about accessing the database? because i tried making a new user through WP but i couldn’t log in as the new user either.

    i really appreciate the help! 🙂

    You can register an a new user of WP,and then enter the mysql database(use phpmyadmin…),change the level from 0 to 10…
    maybe it’s your brower’s problem,you can try firefox.

    i’m using firefox, and i tried IE too 🙁

    okay on phpmyadmin, i edited the wp_users thing and made the default 10 [that’s admin, right?].. is that what i’m supposed to do? will that screw it up?

    nevermind, i fixed it. if anyone else encounters this problem.. just re-entered the password for your username in phpmyadmin 🙂
