Don’t go back to an old version – that’s not a good solution.
Try doing a manual update –
http://codex.wordpress.org/Updating_WordPress#Manual_Update
Make sure you’ve also deactivated your plugins manually – rename the plugins folder on the server to plugins.HOLD
Lesson learned on the old version.
One of the plugins is WooCommerce. I have no idea how to deactivate the plugins.
Oh I’m afraid I made this worse.
WooCommerce has some major issues in the new release – so yeah, may be that indeed. So you’ll need to use FTP or Cpanel to fix this – ask your hosts if you don’t know how to do that.
Once you get set up, find the plugins folder on the server and rename it:
wp-content
plugins.HOLD
I must have done something wrong along the way, all is gone.
I’m afraid to touch any other sites I’ve done in WP now!
What is the site URL? It’s unlikely that it’s actually gone. Do you (or your host) have a backup of your site?
Good morning,
Yes to site back ups; I use GoDaddy. I went back to February 9 and now I get this:
http://justcheappens.com/store – I get a 404 Page Not Found Error,
and
http://justcheappens.com/store/wp-login.php gives me a 404 Problem Loading Page error.
Is there hope?
p.s. Thank you for your assistance
oh, maybe that what it was after I restored it to 2/9?
… trying again
I can log in now, but there are no products 🙁
I’m guessing that’s due to the WC update – see:
https://wordpress.org/support/topic/how-to-debug-issues-after-updates?replies=1
If you need additional assistance with WC, scroll to the bottom of that forum and make a new thread there. Please do not post in anyone else’s thread.
I see all of the images that were entered the same time as the products but can’t seem to locate the database it had all of the information for each product in. If the images are still in there could my data for each product still be here hidden someplace?
WP debug – I’m lost already. I’m reading but I don’t understand where I find it and how to run it. I’ll keep reading…but I’m not an expert, just learning as I go along. Learning too much today.
Yaaaaaaaaaaaay found my inventory! After deactivating the plugins I never activated Wooocommerce, once I activated it again, the products came up.
Everything is sort of messy, but AFTER I BACK UP EVERYTHING AND MAKE A COPY, I will update to 4.1 and update Wooo, too.
I need a drink now..
LOL – well, certainly glad you got it sorted out – YAY!! Yes, backup ASAP!!
